Description

Gain the support and knowledge you need to make lifestyle changes to reduce inflammation and symptoms of autoimmune disease for yourself or for someone you care about. The group meets monthly for lunch to learn, discuss, and support one another along their varied journeys to a healthier life. Drawing on our Pillars of How you feel is data!®, Biological Individuality and Nutritional Harm Reduction®, the group covers topics such as managing carb cravings, gut health, elimination diets, behavior change, and the effect of food, lifestyle choices, and environmental toxins on gut health, inflammation, autoimmunity, and the microbiome.

The tradition of this meeting is for everyone to help prepare the table, cook the meal, and clean up afterward. We will reach out to you upon completion of registration so you may choose which you would like to do: 1) I will arrive by 11:30 ready to help OR 2) I will stay late for cleanup (finished by 1:40).

This lunch for Immune Support is led by Anne Macaulay, Ph.D., NBC-HWC. Anne has personal experience making dietary changes to manage Hashimoto’s and IBS. The menu for this meeting typically follows an anti-inflammatory, omnivore, and grain-free (AKA paleo) menu, but accommodations can be made for food restrictions, allergies, vegetarians and vegans.

Meeting Presenter: Anne Macaulay
Meeting Facilitator: Sarah Pipher
Meeting Host: Mimi Mead-Hagen
